Former Japan PM visits Sabarmati station of bullet train project in Gujarat

Sabarmati: A high-level Japanese delegation, led by Mr. Suga Yoshihide, Chairman of The Japan India Association and Former Prime Minister of Japan, visited the Sabarmati Multimodal Transport Hub & SBS launching site of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) Project in Ahmedabad district today.
The delegation included Shri Rajendra Prasad, Managing Director of the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), as well as a Member of the House of Representatives from the Japanese government, the Ambassador of Japan in India, and senior officers from JR East, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
Suga, is on visit to India from Tuesday, leading a delegation of over 100 business members. The purpose of the visit is to promote Japanese investments in India. During his visit, Suga is also scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi later in the week. DeshGujarat
