U.S. based Methodist Church organization awards Doctorate degree to Gurudev Rakeshji of Gujarat

Dharampur: Claremont School of Theology in America awarded Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree to Gurdevshri Rakeshji, the founder of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission at Dharampur in South Gujarat, for his “extraordinary contribution” in religious and humanitarian works.

Claremont School of Theology, an official theological school of the United Methodist Church, located in Clermont, California awarded a honorary doctorate degree to a non-Christian religious saint for the first time, in the 130 years after its foundation.

Rakeshji, a Jain by faith has founded a spiritual organisation Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur. The organization has 202 centers across the world, 95 youth centers, 252 education centers, and 202 charity centers. His books are published in 11 languages of the world. DeshGujarat
