Ankleshwar in water upto first floor height; Huge damage to shops, parked vehicles

Ankleshwar: The industrial town of Ankleshwar is under water up to the first floor.
Thousands of vehicles across the town are in the water.
Bharuch municipality has moved rescue boats. The locals said the flood situation was sudden. Water started flowing in the town on 17 September morning, but the levels increased during the night when the level of water of river Narmada went up to 42 ft.

Over 100 persons were rescued in the town by NDRF, police, Bardoli municipality and local civic staff. The damage in shops and parked vehicles is huge and across the town.
The locals had to deal with whatever was available within the home when it came to food, water, and essential supplies.
