Communal clash in Savli; three suffer injuries

Vadodara: Three youths were injured during stone pelting between two groups in communal clash in Savli town of Vadodara district today. The district police teams were deployed in the town and the situation was put under control.
It is learnt that two youths from Bhagol and Malivaga areas entered into arguments over a bike accident. In the evening, when three youths from Bhagol area were passing through the road, some youths from Malivaga area stopped them and started beating them up.
In reaction to this, some people from Bhagol area visited the attackers, following which the stone pelting started between two groups, in which glasses of some cars were damaged. Various teams of district police soon rushed to control the situation. The markets remained closed after stone pelting and group clash. Those injured in stone pelting are taken to medical care. The injured are identified as Sheikh Hussain Miya, Sheikh Sahil Miya, Mushtak Miya and Kureshi Ilyas Muhammad. Locals opine that the area of Damajino Dera witnesses frequent communal clashes.
