Mandaviya files nomination from Porbandar; beneficiaries of govt schemes as proposers

Porbandar: Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Mansukh Mandaviya, today filed the nomination papers for the General Elections to Lok Sabha from the Porbandar seat on the ticket of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). While filing the nomination, the proposers who signed Mandaviya’s nomination paper were farmers, fishermen, and others who are beneficiaries of schemes made by the central government.

Speaking to the media, Mandaviya said, “My proposers are the beneficiaries of Kisan Samman Nidhi, Ayushman Bharat, and fishermen who received boats from the government schemes. I am fighting the election on their blessings and proposition.”

The Prime Minister had said that the government will work for Women, Farmers, Youth, and the Poor. Therefore, today the beneficiaries from different sectors became proposers of Mandaviya

“There is no difference in Porbandar and Bhavnagar. One is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, which is Porbandar, and he studied in Bhavnagar,” said Mandaviya.

Mandaviya held a huge rally before filing the nomination papers where thousands of people came in support of his candidature. Along with Mandaviya, BJP candidate Arjun Modhwadia filed nomination papers for the bypolls in the 83-Porbandar Assembly constituency. The seat became vacant when Modhwadia, then Congress MLA, resigned from the party and the Gujarat Assembly in March. DeshGujarat
