Surya Tilak adorns forehead of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya Ram Mandir

Ayodhya: On the occasion of Ram Navami, Surya Tilak was performed on Ramlalla starting from 12 noon, which is considered the birth time of Lord Ram according to Hindu belief. This marks Ramlalla’s first Surya Tilak after Pran Pratistha. The Surya Tilak ritual lasted for 3 minutes during the Abhijit Muhurta at 12 noon.

For this, a 65-feet-long system of 20 octahedral pipes was constructed. Through 4 lenses and 4 mirrors, the sun’s rays reached Ramlalla’s forehead from the sanctum.

The temple gates opened at 3:30 am today; on regular days, they open at 6:30 am. Devotees will be able to have darshan until 11:30 pm, i.e., for 20 hours.

Ram Janmotsav has commenced at Ramlalla Sadan. Jagadguru Raghavacharya anointed Lord Ramlalla with 51 Kalash.

So far, 6 lakh devotees have reached Ayodhya, with long queues forming at the Ramjanmabhoomi complex. Ram Path, Bhakti Path, and Janmabhoomi Path are experiencing heavy crowds. – DeshGujarat
