Rajkot TRP Gamezone Fire Case: SIT begins questioning of IAS, IPS officers in Gandhinagar

Gandhinagar: Chief Fire Officer of Rajkot, I. V. Kher, today reached the Police Bhawan in the state capital in relation to the investigation of the TRP Gamezone fire. Kher has been summoned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by senior IPS officer Subhash Trivedi for questioning.
The SIT will be questioning several IAS, IPS, and fire department officers throughout the day. The police had sent letters to all the top officials regarding the same. It is learned that former Rajkot Police Commissioner Raju Bhargava, former Municipal Commissioner of Rajkot Anand Babulal Patel (IAS), IPS officer Vidhi Chaudhary, and IPS officer Sudhirkumar Desai will be questioned today.
State DGP Vikas Sahay will lead the inquiry, which may address issues related to Gamezone’s approvals and safety measures.
Chief Fire Officer of the Rajkot Fire Brigade, I. V. Kher, is expected to be questioned about the Fire NOC and other safety compliances at Gamezone.
The questioning of all the top officials in Rajkot’s TRP Gamezone fire may take more than two days. The line of questioning started today at Police Bhawan. DeshGujarat
