Surat to host ABVP’s National Executive Council Meeting from June 6-9

Surat: The city is set to host the National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) from June 6 to 9, 2024. This event will witness participation from student representatives across all states of India. The primary objective of this meeting is to deliberate on pressing social issues and to foster enhancements in the quality of education.
The National Executive Council Meeting in Surat will gather educators and students from various states from across bharat, ready to be welcomed by the people of Surat. Notably, special representatives from the Nepal-based student organization ‘Pragyik Vidyarthi Parishad’, including their national president, general secretary, and organizational secretary, will also be participating.
Before NEC Meeting, the Central Working Committee (CWC) of Vidyarthi Parishad will convene on June 5. On June 6, meetings focusing on the various Aayam, Karya, and Gatividhi of Vidyarthi Parishad will take place. The evening will culminate in a ‘Public Reception Event’ organized by the people of Surat for the delegates arriving from across the country and abroad.
All delegates attending the National Executive Meeting will receive kits. In an innovative initiative, bags made from old, waste jeans collected from college campuses across Gujarat will be distributed to the delegates, promoting the concept of creating the best out of waste. Efforts will also be made to achieve zero food waste at this meeting. Initiatives such as a plastic-free NEC (National Executive Council), paperless NEC, and other similar projects have been planned. To assist delegates with various arrangements and organizational information, a mobile application named ‘NEC Sahayak’ has been developed. Volunteers actively conducted a crowd funding collection campaign by visiting markets in Surat. All delegates will be presented with a statue of Lord Ram as a token of appreciation. The meeting hall will be adorned with a tribal theme, and portraits of revered personalities such as Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Shivaji Maharaj, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Swami Vivekananda will be displayed in various parts of Surat, alongside inspirational quotes, banners, and wall paintings to promote the National Executive Council Meeting. Every ABVP worker and the citizens of Surat are diligently working to ensure the success and seamless execution of this event.
