Gujarat govt appoints Rajender Kumar as Secretary of Tourism

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has appointed Rajender Kumar, a 2004-batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre, as the Secretary of the Tourism, Devasthanam Management, Civil Aviation, and Pilgrimage departments at Sachivalaya in Gandhinagar. Kumar is replacing Hareet Shukla, who has been appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer of Gujarat.
Kumar, who previously served at the World Bank in Washington, DC for three years starting in 2021, will now return to his home cadre. Before this assignment, he held the position of director in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). DeshGujarat
