Ahmedabad: Smart City Ahmedabad Development Limited (SCADL) and has requested a proposal to implement a Flap Lock Based Smart Parking System at selected locations within Ahmedabad. This system aims to streamline parking management through innovative technology.

The system will utilize flap lock-based units equipped with magnetic sensors or loop detection methods to detect parked vehicles. Each location will have a controller or gateway connected to multiple mechanical flap lock units, ensuring efficient operation.

Users will be able to access the system via a mobile application. From the app, they will be able to locate nearby parking spots and also make payments through QR codes. The mobile app will also offer real-time parking guidance, helping users locate nearby parking spots quickly.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will set fees for designated parking areas based on factors like location, time of day, duration of parking, demand, and type of parking. A locking mechanism will ensure vehicles can’t move until parking fees are paid, ensuring a smooth process for users. DeshGujarat
