6 dead, several injured in bus-truck crash on Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway

Anand: A fatal accident took place early this morning at around 4 AM between a luxury bus and a truck on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Express Highway near Anand, resulting in the deaths of six people and injuries to around eight others. The death toll is likely to rise.
According to preliminary information, the truck hit the bus from the rear end. The bus was parked on the side of the road after its tire had burst. This caused the bus to overturn onto people sitting on the divider. Six people were crushed to death in the incident, while eight others were injured. Local police, the fire brigade, and a 108 emergency team reached the spot after receiving information about the accident, and the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
The private bus was traveling to Rajasthan from Maharashtra when the accident occurred. Anand (Rural) police have started the investigation; however, the deceased have not been identified so far. DeshGujarat
