Rajkot District Tourism Committee proposes Rs 50 Lakh for Swaminarayan Mandir, Rs 40 lakh for Khodaldham Solar Project

Rajkot: The Rajkot District Tourism Committee met at the Rajkot Collectorate under the leadership of District Collector Prabhav Joshi.The committee approved a proposal to request Rs.50 lakh from the Gujarat government for the 150-year-old Swaminarayan Mandir in Nani Bazar, Gondal, and Rs.40 lakh for a solar project in Khodaldham, Kagvad.
The proposal for the Swaminarayan Mandir includes Rs.10 lakh for a solar rooftop and Rs.40 lakh for Bhojanshala and Satsang hall. The committee will submit this proposal to the state government for approval. For Khodaldham, which is an A-class tourism spot, Rs.40 lakh was sanctioned for a solar rooftop project.
Moreover, Collector Joshi reviewed progress on various projects, including tourist facilities at Ghela Somnath Mahadev Mandir, Darbargadh in Sanosara, BAPS Swaminarayan Temple at Kotda Sangani, and basic amenities at Osam Dungar and Shemli Riverfront.
Additionally, Rs.1.40 crore has been allocated for the Shemli Riverfront project, with the tender process completed. Gondal Provincial Officer Rahul Gamara mentioned that a proposal for a Rs.63 lakh grant for the Ram Mandir has been made to the state government. DeshGujarat
