Vadodara – Statue of Unity highway to be developed as High-Speed corridor; Rs. 382 crore allocation OKayed

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today informed that it has approved allocation of Rs. 382.16 crore for development of Vadodara – Statue of Unity highway as a high-speed corridor.
Thanks to this decision, the first phase works of development of high-speed corridor will take place on the stretch of highway number 48’s Vadodara junction to VUDA limit for a six-lane road with service roads on both sides.
A standard four-lane highway work will also be taken up in rest of 2.5 km length between VUDA limit to Dabhoi.
The works involve constructions of two underpasses and two elevated corridors, in addition to six lane vehicle underpass at Ratanpur chokdi and Thuvavi junction and four lane elevated corridors at Kelanpur village and Shinor chokdi.
