Bhavnagar: A video of the relatives of patients attacking a doctor at the privately run Shrey Hospital in Sihor town has gone viral. The Sihor Doctors Association has demanded strict action against the accused.

Dr. Jaydipsinh Gohil was attacked by the relatives of a female patient when he asked a relative to remove their slippers outside the hospital. One relative was wearing slippers inside the patient room, and the doctor politely requested that he take them off. When the relative, speaking in an irritated tone, replied that he would remove the slippers after some time, the doctor objected to his tone and insisted that the slippers should be removed immediately.

This made the relative angry, and he, along with his aides, began to assault the doctor in the patient room. CCTV footage of the incident, complete with audio, went viral. The doctors’ association met with Bhavnagar district police chief Dr. Harshad Patel and demanded strict and prompt action in this case, after which the police apprehended the accused.

The accused have been identified as Hiren Dangar, Bhavdeep Dangar, and Kaushik Kuvadiya. They have been arrested & booked under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including section 115(2) for actions intended to cause harm, section 352 for intentional provocation, and section 351(3) for criminal intimidation.
