Dahod: A principal of a government primary school in Dahod has been arrested for allegedly killing a 6-year-old student after she resisted his sexual advances.
The incident occurred on Thursday when the principal, Govind Nat, offered to take the girl to school in his car at her mother’s request. However, the teachers and students told the police that the girl never arrived at the school that day.
Later, when questioned, the principal initially claimed to have dropped the girl off at school. However, inconsistencies in his story and technical evidence led police to suspect him.
Upon interrogation, Nat confessed to the crime. He admitted to attempting to sexually assault the girl while driving and smothering her when she resisted. The principal then disposed of her body behind the school building.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that the girl died from suffocation.
The parents of the girl started a search after the girl did not come back from school, only to find her body in an unconscious state behind the school building. She was taken to Limkheda Civil Hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead. DeshGujarat
