Even though the southwest monsoon has withdrawn from most parts of Gujarat, a well-marked low-pressure area over the east-central Arabian Sea off the Maharashtra coast and the associated cyclonic circulation have been bringing rains to the coastal parts of the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest forecast, has issued a yellow warning for some places as they are likely to receive heavy rain in the next 48 hours. Meanwhile, light rain or dry weather is expected in the rest of the areas.

According to the IMD bulletin, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of the South Gujarat region, namely Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. In the Saurashtra region, heavy rains are expected in the districts of Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and in Diu until 8:30 AM on October 12th.

On October 13th, heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of the South Gujarat region, including Surat, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli. In the Saurashtra region, heavy rains are also expected in Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and in Diu.
