Rs. 30,000 for Fire NOC to Expo dome; ACB nabs a pvt company staffer in Rajkot

Rajkot: Anti Corruption Bureau(ACB) has nabbed one Kaushik Piprotar, sales executive of Specific Fire Protection Ltd in a bribe case involging the bribe sum of Rs. 30,000. The accused was nabbed on Friday evening after he took bribe money at Momai tea centre in Nanavati chowk area of city.
According to ACB, a complainant in this case wanted to set up a temporary dome for the property expo 2024, for which the no objection certificate (NOC) from the fire department of Rajkot Municipal Corporation(RMC) was required. The accused Kaushik Piprotar told complainant that he had contacts in Fire department of RMC and he would manage the NOC for Rs. 30,000 which includes the bribe payable to the officials in FIre department.
As the complainant was unwilling to pay a bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and the accused was held after he received the bribe sum of Rs. 30,000. DeshGujarat
