October 24, 2024
Tapi: Cash amounting to Rs. 40 lakh was stolen from the State Bank of India (SBI) ATM located in the Kanpura area of Vyara town during the late night. A group of four thieves carried out the robbery at this unguarded ATM. The thieves opened the ATM and stole the cash box while cutting through the machine door. The local police have launched an investigation into the matter.
The Tapi police have cordoned off the area and initiated efforts to apprehend the thieves responsible for the crime. They are currently reviewing the CCTV footage from the ATM to aid in their search for the suspects. The absence of a security guard at the ATM allowed the culprits to carry out the theft undetected. The police have also set up checkpoints in the town to catch the thieves. DeshGujarat
