Four-day-long Bharatkool Festival begins on November 14 in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate “BharatKool,” a festival of Bhaav, Raag, and Taal, on Thursday. The inauguration ceremony will take place at the Senate Hall of Gujarat University at around 11 am. This four-day-long event will start on November 14 and continue until November 17.

Minister of State for Home, Sports, Youth, and Culture, Harsh Sanghvi, will also be present at the event as Guest of Honour.

The BharatKool Festival, presented by Gujarat Tourism in collaboration with Gujarat Media Club and Gujarat University, is a celebration of Indian culture, bringing together the essence of India through art, music, and dance, according to the organizers.

This is a free-entry festival sponsored by prominent Gujarat-born brands like Banas Dairy, GIDC, GMDC, Adani, and Raru Capital.

The festival will feature artists like Osman Mir, Arvind Vegda, Parth Oza, Sanjay Oza, renowned Gujarati poet Tushar Shukla, and folk artist Yogesh Gadhvi. The Gujarat Assembly Speaker and Chairman of Banas Dairy Shankar Chaudhary will be among the speakers during the festival. Hindu activist Kajal Hindustani will participate in a discussion on the contribution of women in preserving Indian culture and building the future. Senior journalists like Dixit Soni and Japan Pathak will partake in a discussion on “Sanatan & Public Mediums.” Other senior journalists speaking at different sessions include Ronak Patel, Devendra Bhatnagar, Ajay Umat, Devang Bhatt, and Lalit Khambhayata.

Former Central Information Commissioner Uday Mahurkar will also speak at the festival on November 17 at around 4 pm. The four-day festival will witness the participation of over 200 speakers, with an expected attendance of 50,000 people, as per the organizers. DeshGujarat
