Naroda: A drunk driver of a Creta Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) lost control of the steering and killed two persons who were on the opposite lane on a moving Honda Active two-wheeler.

The accused, Mitesh alias Gopalbhai Rameshbhai Patel, owns a farm in the Dehgam area. He is a resident of Nava Naroda area, based in Galaxy Bungalow. He was driving home in the Creta SUV when, due to his drunken state and overspeeding, he lost control of the vehicle near Shantam Farm, broke the road divider, and jumped onto the other side of the road, hitting a moving two-wheeler. Two youths on the Activa died in this accident. The victims were from Vasna Rathod village in the Dehgam area and were returning from work.

The accused, Mitesh Patel, was nabbed by locals and handed over to the police. He was visibly in a fully drunken state. DeshGujarat
