240 ASIs of Gujarat Police promoted to post of PSIs

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government today announced that it promoted 240 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) to the position of Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) on December 30th after they passed the departmental promotion examination. With this, a total of 6,770 employees, ranging from police sub-inspectors (PSIs) to clerical staff, have been promoted this year.
The government, in its statement, emphasized that promotions not only energize employees and enhance their efficiency but also positively impact their families. Gujarat’s Director General of Police (DGP), Vikas Sahay, has taken a proactive approach by ensuring that all necessary procedures for promotions are completed promptly. As a result, 6,770 police personnel and officers have been promoted in 2024.
During the year 2024, 341 PSIs were promoted to the rank of Inspector, 397 ASIs to the position of PSI, 2,445 Head Constables were elevated to ASI, and 3,356 Police Constables were promoted to Head Constable. Additionally, 231 clerical staff members also benefited from promotions. DeshGujarat
