Two injured in stone pelting in Khokhra after India vs Pak match

Ahmedabad: Two individuals sustained injuries in a violent altercation between two communities in Khokhra after India’s win against Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy on Sunday night.
The clash erupted around midnight when a victory procession near Anupam Cinema took a hostile turn following a heated argument. Reportedly, as cricket fans were bursting crackers during the victory procession, a spark hit a youth, leading to an argument. As more people got involved, what started as a celebration soon escalated into stone-pelting. Two people were injured in the stone-pelting before police arrived and controlled the situation.
The injured were promptly taken to LG Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable. Meanwhile, police have initiated a probe by inspecting CCTV footage of the area, and seven miscreants involved in the stone-pelting has been nabbed. DeshGujarat
