ACB Gujarat nabs Forest Beat Guard in decoy trap for taking bribe

Valsad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat today nabbed Naresh Dadubhai Bhoya (32), a Forest Beat Guard (Class-3) posted at the Bhilad Forest Products Checking Check Post, Range-Sanjan, for accepting a bribe of ₹6,300 in a decoy operation.
According to the ACB, Bhoya demanded ₹7,500 from a decoy transporter to issue three Gujarat passes for moving Kher wood from Maharashtra to Amalsad, Navsari. The legal fee for each pass is just ₹20, totaling ₹60, but the accused allegedly sought ₹2,500 per pass. After accepting the bribe amount of ₹7,500, he returned ₹1,200 to the decoy and pocketed ₹6,300, which was later recovered by the ACB.
The operation was led by Trapping Officer S.N. Gohil, Police Inspector, Valsad and Dang ACB Post Office, under the supervision of R.R. Chaudhary, Assistant Director, ACB Surat Unit. DeshGujarat
