Morbi: The local cybercrime police have arrested Rituanand Parmeshwar Prasad Singh, a 24-year-old mastermind behind an interstate cyber fraud gang that duped people by cloning websites of leading brands. Singh, a Jharkhand resident, was caught in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, after being on the run.

Operating under the name “Remobit Infotech,” the gang created over 90 fake websites impersonating brands like Tata Zudio, Domino’s, KFC, McDonald’s, Decathlon, and Royal Enfield, as well as dealership and government schemes. The scam came to light after a victim lost ₹28 lakh while trying to secure a Tata Zudio franchise. The fraudsters used social media & Google ads to lure victims, who transferred money into multiple accounts. Funds were funneled through Jammu & Kashmir and Bihar before withdrawal.

Police tracked Singh using advanced cyber investigation techniques, linking him to fraud cases across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. In Morbi alone, scams worth ₹1.15 crore were identified. Further probe is underway into the gang’s wider network. DeshGujarat
