Gandhinagar: Civil Defence mock drills will be held in states that share borders with Pakistan tomorrow evening, on May 29th. These states include Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir. It is learnt that the drills will be conducted in districts bordering Pakistan.

This comes weeks after India initiated ‘Operation Sindoor’ against Pakistan on the night between May 6 and 7, in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 that claimed the lives of 26 tourists.

Earlier, as per the directives of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), a nationwide mock drill called Operation Abhyas was carried out on May 7, just hours before the launch of Operation Sindoor. During that exercise, 18 districts of Gujarat participated in the Civil Defence mock drills. — DeshGujarat
