Ahmedabad: A shocking incident unfolded at Nutan Bharati Vidyalaya in Rakhial on Saturday, where a parent stabbed a teacher over a dispute regarding a leaving certificate (LC). The teacher, identified as Shabbir Sheikh, sustained head injuries and was hospitalized. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the parent pulling a knife from his pocket and attacking the teacher.
As per the information, Haji Mushtaq Ahmed had gone to the school to collect the LC for his daughter, a Class 6 student. After meeting the school principal, he approached clerk-cum-teacher Shabbir Sheikh to inquire about the certificate. Shabbir reportedly informed him to return on Friday to collect the LC. However, Mushtaq grew agitated, arguing that the principal had told him to collect it on Monday.
The argument escalated quickly. Mushtaq first slapped Shabbir Sheikh and, as the teacher stood up, he took out a knife and stabbed him on the head. Other staff members rushed to intervene and separated the two. Shabbir was taken to Civil Hospital, where he received seven stitches.
Shabbir Sheikh has filed a formal complaint at Rakhial Police Station. The police have registered the case and launched further investigation, with CCTV footage serving as crucial evidence in the case. DeshGujarat
