According to the ACB, a prohibition-related case had been registered at Kamrej Police Station against the complainant’s husband and son-in-law. During the investigation, the complainant’s son-in-law was detained. The accused, who is posted with the Local Crime Branch of Surat Rural Police, allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹1,00,000 to avoid any harm to the complainant’s husband and son-in-law.
