Where did it rain in Gujarat today? Here are the figures
October 28, 2025
Gandhinagar: Several parts of Gujarat received moderate rainfall between 6 am and 6 pm today, with Gir Somnath and Ahmedabad districts recording the highest figures, according to data released by the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC).
Talala taluka of Gir Somnath district topped the chart with 43 mm (1.69 inches) of rainfall, followed closely by Bavla in Ahmedabad (42 mm) and Patan-Veraval in Gir Somnath (42 mm). Sutrapada (41 mm) and Dholka (40 mm) also reported significant showers.
Other notable rainfall figures included Wadhwan in Surendranagar (38 mm), Mangrol in Junagadh (37 mm), Maliya Hatina (32 mm), and Bhachau in Kachchh (29 mm). Several talukas in Junagadh, Surendranagar, and Ahmedabad received between 10 mm and 25 mm of rain during the 12-hour period.
In total, 119 talukas across Gujarat recorded measurable rainfall today, indicating the continued influence of post-monsoon activity as well as a weather system active due to a depression over the Arabian Sea, affecting Saurashtra and central Gujarat regions.
However, most of the talukas in Vadodara, Rajkot, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Panchmahals, as well as northern districts such as Banaskantha, Patan, and Mahesana, reported trace to light rainfall below 10 mm. Only 23 talukas recorded over half an inch of rain, and among them, 11 received more than one inch.
Data indicates that the unseasonal showers were mainly concentrated over coastal and Saurashtra regions. DeshGujarat
