Stones pelted at GSRTC buses, other vehicles on Shihori highway in North Gujarat

Patan: A group of anti-social elements allegedly pelted stones at vehicles on the Shihori Highway in Patan district on Tuesday night, damaging multiple buses and trucks and creating panic among commuters. The incident occurred near Nayta village in Saraswati taluka.
According to officials, three GSRTC buses and five dumpers were targeted. The miscreants, riding on motorcycles, hurled stones at passing vehicles and fled before the drivers could react. The impact shattered several windowpanes, causing fear among passengers and motorists.
The affected buses were travelling on routes including Ahmedabad–Deodar, Shamlaji–Deodar, and Shamlaji–Patan. Around 80 passengers were onboard the three state transport buses at the time of the attack. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported.
Following the incident, all buses were safely moved to the Saraswati depot late at night. Local police have launched an investigation and are working to identify and trace the perpetrators.
