Plummeting Minimum Temperatures Keep Mornings Cold in Gujarat; Ahmedabad at 13.8°C

Ahmedabad: Winter conditions continued to firm up across Gujarat on Tuesday, with several districts recording below-normal minimum temperatures. As per the morning weather bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Naliya remained the coldest location, registering a minimum of 10.0°C, which is 2.6°C below normal.
In major cities, Ahmedabad recorded a minimum of 13.8°C, marginally 0.6°C below normal, while Gandhinagar reported 13.5°C, slightly above normal by 0.8°C. Vadodara saw a sharper dip with the mercury settling at 13.0°C, a notable 2.2°C below normal.
Saurashtra stations also reported cooler mornings. Rajkot logged 13.2°C (-2.4°C), while Porbandar touched 13.4°C (-2.8°C). Kandla recorded 14.5°C (-2.3°C), and Dwarka reported 17.6°C (-1.3°C). Bhavnagar remained comparatively warmer at 15.4°C, still 0.9°C below normal.
Among coastal districts, Surat recorded a higher minimum of 19.4°C, 2.3°C above normal, and Veraval reported 19.2°C, 0.8°C above normal. Coastal stations like Okha remained the warmest with a minimum of 21.4°C.
Humidity levels at 0830 IST ranged between 50% and 80% across most stations. No rainfall was reported from any part of the state.
