Minimum temperatures stays above normal at most places in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Minimum temperatures across most parts of Gujarat remained above normal on Thursday, with many districts recording warmer-than-usual night conditions, according to the weather report issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Ahmedabad, this morning.
Naliya in Kutch was the coldest location in the state, registering a minimum temperature of 9.5°C, which was 1.0°C below normal. In contrast, several other stations reported minimum temperatures 2–3°C above normal, indicating a mild winter trend over large parts of the region.
In Ahmedabad, the minimum temperature stood at 15.3°C, exceeding the normal by 2.3°C, while Gandhinagar recorded 14.2°C, higher by 2.7°C. Rajkot reported 13.8°C (0.2°C above normal), and Baroda recorded 13.6°C, marginally higher by 0.2°C.
Deesa reported a minimum of 13.6°C, 2.8°C above normal, while Bhuj registered 14.1°C, which was 2.2°C above normal. In South Gujarat, Surat recorded 16.6°C, with a departure of 0.5°C above normal, while along the Saurashtra coast, Veraval reported 18.4°C, warmer by 1.4°C. Dwarka reported 17.1°C, nearly normal, with a marginal negative departure of 0.1°C, while Porbandar registered 14.4°C, 0.7°C below normal. Bhavnagar recorded 16.2°C, 1.7°C above normal, and Amreli reported 13.2°C, 0.5°C above normal. Okha reported the highest minimum among coastal stations at 20.8°C, 0.6°C above normal.
Daman recorded a minimum of 17.0°C, while Kandla reported 15.2°C, with a slight positive departure of 0.4°C.
The IMD bulletin further indicated dry weather conditions across the state, with no rainfall recorded at any reporting station during the period. Morning relative humidity levels remained moderate to high in several districts, including Bhavnagar (81%), Rajkot (79%), and Baroda (78%), while afternoon humidity levels were significantly lower across most locations.
