Minimum temperatures on rise in Gujarat; Ahmedabad, Vadodara among cities 4-5°C above normal

Ahmedabad: Minimum temperatures across Gujarat remained above normal at most locations, indicating milder winter nights, according to the latest weather report issued on Friday morning.
Major cities including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat recorded night temperatures 4 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal, reflecting a continued warming trend across the state.
Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 17.8°C, which was 5.3°C above normal, while Vadodara reported a similar low of 17.8°C, standing 4.4°C above average. Rajkot registered a minimum temperature of 17.9°C, about 5°C higher than normal.
In the Saurashtra and Kutch regions, minimum temperatures also remained on the higher side. Bhavnagar recorded 16.4°C, Porbandar 16.2°C, and Dwarka 17.1°C. Bhuj reported a minimum of 14.0°C, while Deesa in North Gujarat recorded 14.5°C, both remaining above seasonal averages.
The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at Naliya in Kutch, where the mercury dropped to 12.0°C, still 1.7°C above normal.
Coastal areas experienced comparatively warmer nights. Daman reported a minimum temperature of 19.4°C, while Surat recorded 18.4°C, both significantly above average. Veraval and Diu registered minimum temperatures of 18.2°C and 15.8°C, respectively.
Meteorological officials noted that no rainfall was recorded anywhere in the state during the past 24 hours. Relative humidity levels during the morning hours ranged between 60 and 90 percent across most regions. DeshGujarat
