Gandhinagar hosts Ramesh Oza’s Prakriti Prem Bhagwat Katha
February 01, 2026
Gandhinagar: A week-long Prakriti Prem Bhagwat Katha is being organised in Gujarat’s capital Gandhinagar from February 1 to 7, 2026, with a message that nature should be loved and protected like a mother. The event is being hosted by the Gandhinagar-based Nature First Trust.
Renowned Bhagwat storyteller Ramesh Oza (Bhaishri) will narrate the discourse. Trust trustee Mahendrabhai Trivedi said the programme is being held with the aim of spreading awareness about love for nature across the world, calling it a first-of-its-kind initiative.
Highlighting the objective, he noted that the world is increasingly affected by climate change and recurring natural disasters, stressing the need for solutions through changes in daily lifestyle and greater public awareness.
Speaking about youth participation, Trivedi said Gen Z is conscious of environmental damage and cited the growing popularity of the global “Buy Nothing” app, where people share unused items to reduce production, carbon emissions, and environmental harm.
Alongside the discourse, expert lectures on environmental conservation are also being organised at universities. Speakers include scientists and experts from institutions such as NEERI, IIT Bombay, ISRO, IIT Gandhinagar, and NDDB.
Nature First Trust trustee and chief organiser Naranbhai Patel, along with other environmental enthusiasts, is actively involved in the event’s organisation. DeshhGujarat
