Ahmedabad: The city traffic police’s official X account, @PoliceAhmedabad, was temporarily suspended, leaving officials unsure of the reason.

The account was used to share traffic updates, road closures, and enforcement drives, and also allowed citizens to report congestion or violations. It is learnt that the suspension may be linked to a post about the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final on March 8, which received unusually high engagement and sparked a comment exchange with the Delhi Police’s official account.

Officials believe the high activity may have been flagged as a possible policy violation by X. During the suspension, which is still ongoing, users are not able to interact with the account or file complaints. DeshGujarat
