83 Whale Sharks Rescued Along Gujarat Coast in Two Years: Govt

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government informed the State Assembly that it is actively implementing a conservation scheme to protect whale sharks found along the state’s coastline.
As per the data shared as of December 31, 2025, a total of 83 whale sharks were rescued under the Whale Shark Conservation Programme over the past two years.
According to year-wise figures, 37 whale sharks were rescued in 2024, and the number increased to 45 in 2025. DeshGujarat
