No Fuel Shortage in Gujarat, Says Dy CM Harsh Sanghavi; Warns Against Rumours Amid Panic Queues at Pumps

Gandhinagar – Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi in a statement today urged citizens across Gujarat to ignore rumors regarding petrol and diesel shortages. Following reports of “panic” queues at various refueling stations, the government has moved to reassure the public that fuel supplies are being strictly monitored and maintained.

Sanghavi said –  ‘All citizens are requested that there is no need to rush or panic due to any kind of rumors regarding petrol and diesel—whether from social media, WhatsApp, or any source without official information. Both the State Government and especially the Central Government are conducting daily monitoring of these stocks and supplies, and complete preparations are in place to ensure sufficient arrangements for petrol and diesel at all petrol pumps across the state.’

‘I request all citizens of the state with folded hands: when we receive a WhatsApp message and immediately forward it to others without any official knowledge or complete information, we waste the time of thousands of people for no reason. Furthermore, strict action will be taken in the coming days against those spreading such false information within the city or state.’

‘Most importantly, there is no need for concern; arrangements have been made to ensure petrol and diesel are fully available at all petrol pumps. The Honorable Chief Minister is reviewing the situation daily, and all relevant ministries in the Government of India are also conducting regular reviews on these matters. ‘ DeshGujarat
