Over 2.74 Crore Eligible Voters for Upcoming Local Elections in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The State Election Commission has published the draft electoral rolls for the upcoming general elections to local self-government bodies in Gujarat. As per the draft lists, a total of 2.74 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in the elections.
According to an official press release issued by the State Election Commission, elections will be held for 15 municipal corporations, 84 municipalities, 34 district panchayats, and 260 taluka panchayats across the state. In addition, by-elections for 13 vacant seats in 11 municipalities will also be conducted.
The preliminary publication of voter lists has been carried out at the local level by the concerned Electoral Registration Officers.
