Gandhinagar: Gujarat Informatics Limited, under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat will deploy over 100 GPUs to Accelerate AI infrastructure in the State.

GIL will provision more than 100 high-performance GPUs, which will be made accessible to Government departments, academic institutions, and start-ups across the State. It’s part of advanced AI compute infrastructure supported under the Government of India’s IndiaAI Mission.

The availability of this shared infrastructure will enable stakeholders to undertake critical AI activities such as model training, development of innovative applications, and deployment of scalable solutions aimed at improving public service delivery and driving industrial innovation.

The State government note stated: this initiative is expected to reduce time and cost associated with infrastructure procurement, while accelerating the development lifecycle of AI-based solutions.
