After filing nomination in Gandhinagat for Rajya Sabha election, leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Shri Arun Jaitley thanked people of Gujarat, Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Gujarat BJP workers and state party president Shri RC Faldu for finding him suitable for candidature to contest the Rajya Sabha poll from Gujarat.
Shri Jaitley said that Rajya Sabha discusses the issues pertaining to the nation and to the states. He said he would therefore try to work as a voice of the state(Gujarat) in Rajya Sabha.
When asked about the Karnataka issue, Shri Jaitley said it’s party’s internal issue and will be sorted out. He said he was in touch with Shri Yeddiurappa.
