Amdavad’s Mukesh Patel donates five kg gold more to Ambaji mandir

40-year-old Mukesh Patel who is originally from Khoraj village near Gandhinagar but now settled in Ahmedabad had pledged to donate 25 kg gold for golden shikhar of Ambaji mandir. Today he donated third installment of five kg gold to Ambaji mandir. Patel has already donated 10 kg gold to mandir earlier. Thus he has so far donated total 15 kg gold out of 25 kg promised.
The historic Ambaji temple is located on the Gabbar hills in Banaskantha district. It is one of the 51 shaktipeeths.
Mukeshbhai walks to Ambaji Mandir from Gandhinagar since last over two decades once ever year. He said there was a time when he was jobless and his financial status was not good. Thanks to Goddess Ambaji today he successfully runs his own construction company(Siddhi group). Mukeshbhai believes that his donations to Goddess Ambaji was minuscule in comparison to the grace she showers on him and other devotees. In 2009, Mukeshbhai had also donated Rs 75 lakh to the Umiya Mata Mahotsav in Unjha.
It should be noted here that a project to convert Ambaji mandir’s top part(60 ft Shikhar with 358 kalash) into golden is going on at present.
