Lata Mangeshkar to share dais with Narendra Modi

Legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar will share dais with BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Mumbai on January 27 to mark the golden jubilee of the famous patriotic song ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon’. The day will be celebrated as “Shreshth Bharat Diwas” (Best India Day). Lataji had sang the famous song ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon’ written by Kavi Pradeep in presence of the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on January 27, 1963 to commemorate the martyrdom and bravery of the war heroes of 1962 India-China war.
Shri Modi will felicitate the legendary singer as well as the war veterans on the occasion. It is also believed that nearly one lakh people will join them singing the song on the occasion at Mahalakshmi Racecourse venue including many war heroes and the kin of martyrs of our armed forces.
