Ahmedabad, 24 March 2014
It seems Gujarat BJP’s Ahmedabad-East seat crisis over selection of candidate has ended at-least at cadre level.
Following successful bandh in Dehgam today morning, state party general secretary Shankar Chaudhary, former minister Kaushik Patel and others visited Dehgam town and held talks with taluka level party leaders who had given bandh call against Paresh Rawal’s candidature on BJP ticket.
State party leaders assured Dehgam taluka leaders that Harinbhai will be placed at appropriate position in future and given a chance to serve the people. They also asked party workers to focus on supreme goal to make Narendra Modi as Prime Minister.
After the meeting, Dehgam BJP leaders told media persons that they are with party. They said they had problem with party’s particular decision, but now when state leadership has heard them they are satisfied.
They said they will go to Ahmedabad airport to welcome party’s candidate Shri Paresh Rawal and will do everything to make him victorious on Ahmedabad East seat.
It should be mentioned here that sitting BJP MP of Ahmedabad East seat Harin Pathak is denied ticket after seven terms. Party has decided to field Paresh Rawal instead of Pathak.
Pathak held a press conference on Sunday and said he would declare his line of action after meeting his supporters in two-three days.
Dehgam is only rural assembly segment under Ahmedabad East Lok Sabha constituency.
