Gujarat Government today said that the Housing Board draw will be conducted again in one month time. The government also clarified that the agency responsible for error in draw has been black listed for three years.
Government also said that draw for various cities will be conducted individually.
The question regarding the error in Housing Board draw was raised by BJP MLA from Khadia-Jamalpur Bhushan Bhatt.
Minister Nitin Patel in his reply said that the state government has assigned the procedure of draw to central government arm National Informatics Centre(NIC).
Over 53,000 applications were received by the state government for over 8,000 affordable housing units that are yet to be built.
The draw was faulty and the execution agency Dev Information System had admitted its mistake following protest by applicants in at least two cities – Ahmedabad and Rajkot.
The state government had cancelled the draw and started procedure to withdraw all work orders given to Dev Information Systems, the agency that has been black listed now.
