Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi came down heavily on Congress manifesto due to neglect of the country’s security concerns in the manifesto, especially those of the Western coast in general and of Gujarat in particular.
According to Modi, the Congress has maintained “criminal silence” over the security of the nation, which sends dangerous signals. Modi said that while Terror is spreading in the country with Naxalism and Maoism, growing power of Taliban in Pakistan and Bangladesh are serious challenges to India.
Clearly, Modi said, the Congress has preferred vote bank politics over national security interest, confusing the common man. He said the voters were going to settle the matter with the Congress in the coming elections, as terror has destroyed the dreams of an entire generation.
