Honest carpenter returns Rs 59.30 crore in Gujarat

Carpenter Jugal Kishor with his bank statement that shows Rs.59.30 crore balance
Juagal Kishor Ganpatlal is carpenter by profession. He is originally from Rajasthan but settled in Ahmedabad for many years. Jugal Kishor earns monthly maximum 8 to 10,000. His bank acount is in Punjab National Bank(PNB)’s Bodakdev branch.
On Thursday morning when Jugal Kishor went to PNB ATM in New Cloth Market of the city, he was surprised as he found Rs. 59.30 crore deposit in his bank account.
Shocked he then checked the deposit in his account at another ATM in Vanijya Bhavan. But even here he found Rs. 59.30 crore balance.
Jugal Kishor then contacted his friend Anuj Shekhavat and informed him about this strange surprise. Anuj Shekhavat contacted Chartered Accountant Purushottam Khandelwal who then contacted Gujarat Chamber of Commerce. The PBN authorities were informed and called to the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce.
Deputy General Manager of PNB Shri A.K.Raychaudhari later clarified that such a big mistake happened due to error in server for an hour in the morning.
