Modi to enter 10th year of his rule as Gujarat CM on 7 October

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will complete 9 years of his continuous rule in Gujarat on 7 October. Shri Modi will enter into 10th year of his continuous role as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on this day.
Narendra Modi is only Chief Minister in the history of Gujarat who has hold this position for such a long time. He has broken ex-Chief Minister Madhavsinh Solanki’s record by ruling five continuous years as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
After Keshubhai Patel was asked to step down by the party, Shri Narendrabhai Modi became Gujarat’s Chief Minister. He was not even MLA at that time. Modi fought his first election of life from Rajkot and was elected as MLA in bypoll to retain his Chief Ministership. Modi has been victorious in two elections then after in year 2002 and 2007.
He is longest serving Chief Minister of Gujarat and will complete 3286 days as Chief Minister of the state on 7 October.
