Shaktisinh Gohil suffers heart attack, angioplasty performed

Leader of opposition in Gujarat assembly and Congress leader Shri Shaktisinh Gohil was today taken to Gandhinagar Civil hospital after complain of chest pain.
Gohil who lives in Gandhinagar complained chest pain just before noon today. He was immediately taken to Gandhinagar civil hospital.
The doctors told DeshGujarat that Gohil had initial symptoms of heart attack.
“It’s golden period at present, and possible heart attack can be treated at this time,” the doctors added.
Gohil, accompanied by senior doctors was later taken to Ahmedabad’s SAL hospital for in VIP ambulance.
A doctors team led by Dr. Tejas Patel performed angioplasty on Gohil.
According to SAL hospital statement Gohil suffered severe heart attack and one of his five artery was 100% block. He has been taken to Intensive Care Unit after operated for angioplasty. He will be under medical observation for next 24 hours and medical supervision for next 72 hours thenafter.
Doctors are permitting no one to see Gohil.
Gujarat Health minister Shri Jaynarayan Vyas visited SAL hospital at around 1.30 pm. Gujarat Congress President Shri Arjun Modhwadia reached SAL hospital at around 1.00 pm along with the other Congress workers.
Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi is likely to visit the hospital today evening.
Gohil is leader of opposition in Gujarat Assembly and MLA from Bhavnagar.
