Morari Bapu asks for one crore, NRI Gujaratis donate 3.14 crore

During his ongoing Ram katha in California in America, Shri Morari Bapu asked audience to donate one crore for the victims of Uttarakhand calamity. In a few minutes, Rs. 1.14 crore donation was announced, and by the evening the sum of donation collected was over Rs. 3.14 crore. It seems that the total figure would reach 5 crore by the end of katha.
During his katha session, Shri Morari Bapu asked everyone to observe two minute silence for those dead in Uttarakhand tragedy. He said he wanted to postpone this katha and wanted to go to calamity-hit area first, but he was informed that it was difficult to visit the calamity-hit pockets at this time. Moreover, the hosts in America had completed all arrangements for katha. Now this katha is dedicated to cause of Uttarakhand victims.
Morari Bapu told donors that he is not a man of management, but stay assured that every pie shall be spent for needy people of Dev bhoomi.
It should be mentioned that Shri Morari Bapu had earlier announce immediate donation of Rs. 5 lakh for Uttarakhand from his Talgajarda trust. His trust also donated Rs. 1 lakh to Saurashtra Trust’s initiative to help Uttarakhand victims.
