All you want to know about Narendra Modi’s today’s Kanpur rally

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi will start his much awaited Uttar Pradesh campaign on Saturday, October 19th at Kanpur.

This will be his first of total nine rallies planned in Uttar Pradesh in first phase.

Uttar Pradesh is crucial state for BJP to come to power in centre. The party once ruled the state with clear majority, but later lost the power and could never regain the ground. Regional parties through their identity politics emerged winner and replaced BJP and Congress.

Highlights:

-Shri Modi’s rally will be held at Indira nagar based Buddha park ground.

-The rally has been named as ‘Vijay Shankhanad’ rally.

-Shri Modi is likely to arrive by chopper at around 2.35 pm. He is likely to begin his speech at around 3.00 pm. He will speak for around 50 mintues. He will leave the place at 4.45 pm.

-Railly coordinator Swatantra Dev Sinh, state party president Lakshmikant Vajpayee, national secretary Rameshwar Chaurasia, rally incharge Ramapati Ram Tripathi are camping in Kanpur for rally.

-Kalyan Singh and Amit Shah reached rally venue in the evening on Friday.Kalyan Singh is independent Lok Sabha MP from Eta. He is planning to resign from parliament membership in November or December to formally join the BJP. Kalyan Singh is likely to give speech from Modi’s stage at Kanpur.

-Shri Rajnath Singh is also going to attend the rally and address it.

-According to state party president, additional LCD TV sets will be set up in nearby ground if existing ground fall short to accommodate people.

-8 IPS officers from Gujarat who are in Kanpur to supervise Mr. Modi’s security took hold of the ground on Friday.

-SP(traffic) in Kanpur has been made nodal officer for the rally.

-With district police force, 10 additional SP, 110 PSI, 700 constables, 10 company PAC are deployed at the ground for security purpose.

-Security persons with sniper guns will be deployed atop nearby buildings.

-The Gujarat Police officers who are camping in Kanpur for Modi’s rally prescribed some changes in design of the stage area. They suggested 90 ft gap between the stage and public instead of earlier planned gap of 60 ft. Similarly the ‘D’ shape round area on three sides of the stage will be 130 ft long instead of earlier measurement of 100 ft.

-Kanpur is strategic venue to start the campaign as it is likely to impact Samajwadi Party dominated potato belt. It will create positive air for BJP in Farukhabad, Jalon, Itava, Eta, Unnav and Mainpuri.

-BJYM workers are assigned the task of arrangements at rally venue. They will tackle with any attempt to disturb the rally.
-It is not easy to fill the large ground of Kanpur rally. Every district and block unit has been assigned specific targets. They shall need to put sticker on trucks/buses and such vehicles will be captured in video by party.

-The ground of the rally, and the roads leading to the ground were in very poor and rough condition. Party unit has really worked hard to prepare the ground to hold the rally.

-A special training session for youths was held at Kanpur ahead of the rally. These youths were trained for tweeting and facebooking the rally in real time.

-A Swiss cottage has been set up backside of the stage of Modi’s rally, in case he wants to rest for some time.

-Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav visited Kanpur just 24 hours before the rally of Shri Modi. Akhilesh was in Kanpur for over five hours. When journalists asked him to react to Narendra Modi’s rally, Akhilesh remained silent and didn’t react.
