75% chairs vacant in Anandiben’s function in Surat

Surat, 9 April 2014
Anandiben Patel’s desperation to succeed Narendra Modi suffered setback in Surat on Tuesday where 75% chairs remained vacant in her function.
The BJP had organized women’s convention in a party plot near Ghod dod road which is a prime location in Surat. The function was held over lunch, but 75% chairs remained vacant till the end of the function.
Anandiben who is short tempered by nature taunted the hosts in her speech and mentioned a line from a mobile phone advertisement campaign on TV….’not ulloo banaing…’
It has to be mentioned here that not all party members are happy with renomination of woman candidate Darshan Jardosh in Surat. Jardosh is perceived as weak candidate who shall will again, as voters are loyal to BJP. The other reason is Anandiben’s authoritative nature. One more reason is heat and lack of interest in election in the month of April which is one of the hottest months.
